Common Inquiries
1. Why is a Meet & Greet necessary?
To ensure we are the perfect match for your pet's needs, every new guest must pass an initial evaluation. This session helps us understand your dog's temperament before any reservation is finalized. Please note that an assessment visit does not guarantee a booking.
2. Which vaccines are mandatory?
For the safety of all residents, proof of up-to-date vaccinations is required. Specifically, your dog must be immunized against Rabies, DHPP, and Bordetella prior to their arrival.
3. What forms do I need to submit?
- Boarding intake form
- Updated vaccination records
- Boarding agreement
- Medical care consent
- Emergency contact information
4. What items are needed?
Kindly bring a sturdy leash, collar, and enough regular food for the length of stay plus one extra day. Feel free to include familiar items like their bed, favorite toy, or treats to help them feel at home.
5. What is included?
Each pet enjoys a spacious private suite, elevated sleeping cot, sanitized dishes, and dedicated one-on-one attention daily.
6. Can you give my dog medicine?
Our staff can manage most standard oral medication schedules. For injections or complex medical needs, please walk us through the specifics during your mandatory initial visit.
7. Are unaltered pets welcome?
We accept intact dogs. However, if a female begins her heat cycle during her stay, the owner or emergency contact must collect her immediately.
8. Are there breed restrictions?
Yes. To maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all guests, we do not accept:
- Pit Bull-type breeds or mixes
- Belgian Malinois
- Any dog displaying aggression
If you have questions about your dog's eligibility, please contact us before scheduling a Meet & Greet.
9. Do you board puppies?
Possibly - based on age, vaccination, and behavioral requirements.
10. Will my dog play with other dogs?
No. Every guest has their own private room, and we do not offer shared boarding or group play. Our boarding experience is intentionally designed to provide a calm, low-stress environment with individualized care.
11. What if my dog has never been boarded before?
Many dogs are nervous during their first stay. Our Meet & Greet allows us to get to know your dog and determine if our environment is the right fit. Our calm setting and personalized approach help make the transition as comfortable as possible.
12. What happens if my dog becomes sick or injured?
If your dog becomes ill or injured while boarding, we'll contact you immediately. If veterinary care is necessary, we'll seek treatment using the emergency authorization completed before your dog's stay.
13. What are your check-in and check-out policies?
Dogs must arrive securely leashed. Checkouts before 10:00 AM are charged a half-day boarding rate on the day of departure. Checkouts at or after 10:00 AM are charged the full daily boarding rate.
14. What is your cancellation policy?
Reservations canceled 72 hours or more before arrival receive a full refund. Reservations canceled less than 72 hours before arrival will forfeit either: 50% of the reservation total, or two nights of boarding, whichever amount is less.
15. Can I tour the facility?
Yes. Every new client completes a scheduled Meet & Greet before their dog's first stay. This gives you the opportunity to see our facility, ask questions, and determine if Creekside Dog Lodge is the right fit for your dog.
